Q This is the pre-research paper assignment. Do not submit the research paper assignment if the instructor has not approved your topic. This assignment expired July 13, 2022. If you have not submitted this assignment but still wish to do so, please contact the instructor by Faulkner Gmail or phone. This Daily Writing 2.1 is not the research paper assignment. This assignment is about generating ideas for the topic of the research paper and the instructor approving that topic. This is not the research paper assignment. This assignment is about generating ideas for the topic of the research paper. The topics for this assignment were made available last week in the "Wrap-up and Looking Ahead" section as a courtesy so that students could begin generating topic ideas for the course Research Paper assignment. The actual research paper is a separate assignment found in this module. Based on the research topics available, determine the topic of your research paper. To view a list of available research topics, access this handout. (Links to an external site.) If two or more students choose the same topic, the alternate plan is either a coin flip or a sword fight on the banks of the Chattahoochee River near Fort Benning, Georgia. After choosing the topic, compose a thesis. For help with the thesis, access “A Word about the Thesis” here. (Links to an external site.) After choosing a topic and composing a thesis, the assignment is to prepare a two-page document that reflects your research paper topic, thesis and one full citation on the Works Cited page. To see a student example of a completed Daily Writing 2.1 assignment, access this handout. (Links to an external site.) Follow that example including format and content but with your topic, thesis, and on the Works Cited page a full citation. Using your topic information to format and construct Daily Writing 2.1 assignment like the student example, provide only one source (citation) on the Works Cited page. The source must include the first and last name of the author and a full date (day, month, year). All sources in this course must be online, and I must have unfettered access to those sources. For additional information about sources, read “Instructor Addendum to the Syllabus,” a weekly review assignment. After submitting Daily Writing 2.1, I will work with each student on the topic and thesis. Do not begin in-depth research on the topic until I approve it. Save this file submission as DW2.1YourLastName (no spaces). Access this handout to read the rubric for DW2.1. (Links to an external site.) I will return all assignments to you with a grade and my comments written directly on the assignment. If you do not read my comments on the graded assignments, you are missing half the class. Submit Daily Writing 2.1 NLT the due date. Due date: July 5, 2022. (Any assignment submitted after the due date is subject to the imposition of a five-point-per-day late penalty.) Expiration date: July 13, 2022.. There is no makeup for expired assignments
